Story

Hello,

Ruth and I are running the 10km race in Manchester in May to raise money for The Prostate Cancer Research Foundation. Last year our Dad was diagnosed with the disease and is now undergoing treatment at Clatterbridge on the Wirral. Dad is responding well to the treatment and by the time of the run will have finished his course of radiotherapy. Any spare change, however small, is very welcome to help raise funds for this worthy cause.

Ruth has set me a training programme which is helping to motivate me on the dark winter nights. Any donations can only be encouragement to put my running shoes on -so hopefully i wont be too far behind her at the finish line (yeah right - who am i trying to kid!).

Thanks very much

Fran and Ruth x

About the charity

The Prostate Cancer Research Foundation has two aims, the first to promote independent worldwide research into all aspects of prostate cancer; and the second to spread the crucial knowledge gathered from that research as far afield as possible, via an internationally recognised forum, attended by the world’s top prostate cancer experts. The Prostate Cancer Research Foundation is also the home of the Bob Monkhouse ‘Give a few bob’ campaign www.giveafewbob.org.
