Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I’m raising money for Sport Relief (part of Comic Relief) by cycling a 1,052 mile route from John O’Groats to Lands’ End at the end of February. I will be cycling for 12 days straight (yep that means no days off or relays) in all-weather down the full length of the UK. Starting in sunny Scotland we will be riding down to Cornwall to finish with a pasty.
I’m undertaking this massive challenge with a target of raising £1,052 - £1 for every mile cycled. All money donated will be going directly to Comic Relief which helps vulnerable people in both the world’s poorest countries and in the UK. Comic relief funds many projects throughout the UK and focuses amongst other things on supporting vulnerable people with mental health problems – a cause close to my heart.
In preparation I have joined CC London to help with training and I can’t thank this group enough for all the support and advice they have offered me! Muddy weekend rides have been my favourite so far. I have also been working hard at gymnastics to attempt some joint bike and acrobatic poses, there will definitely be daily handstand pictures at picturesque points over the journey. Any donations received will be a huge encouragement and I will keep this page updated with my progress coming up to and over the 12 days. Remember that every little helps with Comic Relief being able to do a lot more with your support!
Thanks – Fran x
