Story

UPDATE 🕊️

Claire, a smiling force for good and extremely passionate Mama and Earth and Ocean advocate has sadly passed away.  She has left an amazing legacy and her determination to stop the use of unnecessary plastic from our lives will carry on with the people that she met whether that was in real life or through social media. Claire's loss is and will be felt across the globe.

This fundraiser with WOLO Foundation's support meant that work could start on Claire's Garden in time that she could see changes happening and while in the hospice she saw photos of the progress and even though she never got to see it finished... I'm told it lifted her spirits which for that I am glad. This page will stay open until the end of the month to receive any further donations people may want to make for Claire's Garden to be a place of nurture and healing by her husband, children, dogs and friends.

Sincerely, Thank you

                            THE RAFFLE HAS NOW ENDED.

                        ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

DONATIONS CAN STILL BE MADE TO THE FUNDRAISER AND WILL BE MOST GRATEFULLY RECEIVED BUT WON'T BE ENTERED INTO THE RAFFLE DRAW. Winners will be notified asap.

A thousand thank-you's to all involved from donating prizes to donating money to sharing the page to  cheerleading the total as it grew and grew! 🙏✨

This fundraiser page has been set up to raise money for Claire, aka Instagram's @zero_waste_maman. Claire has a smile that radiates positivity but now that she finds herself reeling from a terminal cancer diagnosis + undergoing chemotherapy... that smile needs a boost.

Claire is a mama to 2 small children, a powerhouse for all things eco-living, especially cleaning, a @surfersagainstsewage rep and a lead for #PlasticFreeSeaford so I thought maybe I'd get together a few of Claire's favourite cleaning products to maybe raffle off as a hamper to raise spirits + raise some money to allow her to plan some fun stuff with her young family. I asked a few people in the Instagram community if they'd help, word spread + the response has been so wonderful that there are now MANY prizes!

There's an army cheer-leading Claire on from the sidelines as she undergoes treatment and navigates the sad, the bad and the ugly of terminal cancer care. Being largely housebound now, Claire would love the chance to be able to spend time in the garden, grow some vegetables, share the produce and have a space where she can spend time outdoors in her beloved nature. If funds allow she'd also love a trip away at Christmas to give her children a break, it's a long time ahead but means they have memory-making to look forward to. 'Where flowers bloom so does hope' ∼ Lady Bird Johnson.
