Story
On 26th December Lindsey, Mel (and Theo) from Pets at Home Folkestone will be taking part in the Deal Boxing Day dip to raise money for Support Adoption For Pets.
Established by Pets at Home in 2006, Support Adoption For Pets is a
registered charity that supports hundreds of pet rehoming organisations in the UK.
Ever since that time, they’ve been transforming the lives of pets in
need through their grant funding, charity partnerships and small pet adoption centres inside Pets at Home stores.
We are both passionate about giving pets a second chance, which is why
we are taking on this challenge to raise money for this incredible charity.
100% of the money raised by this appeal will be donated to Support
Adoption for Pets, and of course we would welcome anyone who would like to come along and support us on the day.
Donations can also be made in store at Pets at Home Folkestone.
You can learn more about Support Adoption for Pets on their website at https://www.supportadoptionforpets.co.uk/
A little about us
Lindsey
Lindsey has been working at Pets at Home Folkestone since 2013, and has always loved animals.
Over the years she has adopted three guinea pigs and one hamster from
Support Adoption, and also has two cats Binx and Misty. Always looking for ways to help animals, Lindsey had been hoping to arrange a sponsored skydive this year however this wasn’t possible before winter arrived.
So for now she has decided to participate in the Boxing Day Dip to support the charity with their Christmas fundraising appeal.
Mel
Mel joined Pets at Home in 2018 and is currently Store Manager in the
Folkestone Store. She also shares an unconditional love for animals and has many of her own. She also has a first class honours degree in Applied Animal Science, as well as a dog grooming level 2 qualification. Mel feels honoured to be able to help raise vital funds for this amazing charity.
Theo
Theo is Mel’s 5 year old Springer Spaniel. He often visits the store and loves swimming, tennis balls and long walks. He can't wait to dive in the water this Boxing Day!
