My Story

My name is Karen, a primary school teacher, mother of two children and a Eurovision Fan! I watched last year’s Eurovision Final in an isolation room having just received a Stem-Cell Transplant which saved my life after my Acute Myeloid Leukaemia relapsed.

I am now doing well and will once again be enjoying this year’s contest but this time in Malmö itself and not from a lonely hospital bed. However I know without the dedicated research of such groups as Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, it is unlikely that I would be here today.  So please enter this raffle knowing that, as well as being in with a chance of winning such a unique Eurovision item, your contribution will help all those suffering from this awful disease.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the wonderful Ben Morris who has so generously donated his time and talents to the creation of the fantastic flag and flyers and also helped with the campaign as a whole. Thanks so much Ben we could of not done this without you!

Thanks also go to Joel Hammer now of the BBC World Service and also to Harry Beer and the Malcolm Boyden show on BBC Radio Oxford for their interest and also coping with the huge logistical challenge of the project!

I was also delighted when W12P and Oystermouth Radio agreed to become our official partners and I would in particular like to thank Joel Bennet for all his support.

Finally I would like to thank you for your time clicking on over here and for your generous support in helping to fight the battle against blood cancer.  Good Luck in the raffle!

Saving all my kisses for you!

Karen xxx
