As a child, my family was lucky enough to be gifted a funded rented riverboat holiday on the Thames, by Sail4Cancer. It was a much needed week of respite during the difficulties of my dad's cancer treatment. The week allowed us to feel normality again and it is one of the most prominent memories of my childhood, despite being one of the hardest periods of my life. 

Sail4Cancer funds holidays and trips for families affected by cancer in the UK, allowing people to have respite and relaxation during stressful times. 

In order to pay what I had forward, I am shaving my head to raise money for the charity, so others can continue to benefit from the amazing work they do.

This is a big challenge for me, as it would be for anyone, as hair is such a safety net and massively shapes how people view you.
