Hi everyone
I am fundraising for Rainbow Trust Africa, a charity that works primarily in Livingstone in Zambia, and works to deliver education, healthcare and other provision such as food, to children and vulnerable adults living in extreme poverty and difficult situations. It touches the lives of hundreds of individuals and provides employment to dozens of local Zambians too. As a teenager, I was fortunate enough to witness good work that RTA do with humility and compassion.
At the end of August I will be teaming up with four friends and heading on an epic bike ride from Barcelona, up and over some of the toughest mountains in the Pyrenees (including the one that made Chris Froome crack like a Yellow Lycra Faberge Egg on Stage 12 of last year's Tour de France...). The route is 300 miles over three days and takes on over 9000m of elevation - higher than Mount Everest (8848m)! Needless to say, this promises to be the most challenging thing I have ever put myself through.
If that sounds like a feat worthy of a few pounds to you, or you'd just like to support a good cause, please consider donating towards our target.
