Story
Around one in five women will experience a mental health problem during pregnancy or in the year after giving birth.
It can be really difficult to feel able to talk openly about how you're feeling when you become a new parent.
Funding levels for NHS mental health provision is falling. The mental health charity Mind (http://www.mind.org.uk) offer information, support and respect to people suffering with mental health issues as well as campaigning to raise awareness and tackle the stigma associated with it.
As a mum who has been through postnatal depression I know how tough it is to experience this, and how it's tougher still to ask for and receive the support I needed. On 8th October myself and the Fit Mummies Club Team are flipping a 45kg tyre approximately 2.5 miles uphill from Chichester to Lavant along Centurion Way.
I'm doing this challenge to raise awareness of the importance of maternal mental health and to raise money for Mind. Please support us in any way you can. xx
