Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I turned 50 in March and wanted to do something that would challenge me physically as well as raising money for Acorns.

Working at Acorns you realise that life can be short and you have to grasp opportunities that come your way, or make them happen. I was originally going to do this trek in April but after suffering flue in March I knew I would not be able reach the level of fitnesss required.

The trek will mean walking from sunrise to sunset at high altitude and as I am scared of heights I expect this to be challenging. I have climbed Snowdon twice in preperation and will be doing it again this weekend. I also go to boot camp in the mornings before work, this was gruelling at first and made me realise just how unfit I was, but its getting better and I ache less!!

I will be camping on the trek and the temperature drops low at night, I have never slept in a tent before so that should be fun. I have been doing car boots for months and have had a few well attended fundraising events which I am sure some of you have supported. If you have please don't feel you need to donate on this page, you have done 'your bit'. I do however have a little more to raise to reach my minimum target and I would like your help as I am running out of time, ideas and energy.

Lots of love,

Fiona x x
