I took part in the Ben Nevis 2010 Macmillan Hiking Challenge on 14th - 16th May.

Ben Nevis is the highest point in the British Isles and stands at the lofty height of 1,343m (4,400feet) above sea level. My challenge took me into the heart of the Nevis range, a breathtaking mountainous land; and my goal was to reach the summit of Ben Nevis.

There were around 40 people in our group doing the challenge for Macmillan Cancer Support. It was tough in parts and on parts - legs are a bit stiff and we battled all weathers but I am delighted to say we all reached the summit.  

The views were breathtaking, the craic was great. Fantastic weekend.
