We have decided to do the Great North Run and raise money for Durham County Carers’s Support because we think they do vital work for our community. There are so many unpaid and unrecognised carers in our area and we’d like to raise awareness of the fantastic job they do and help support the work of DCCS. Gail and I both work for the NHS and are really aware of the crucial  role carers play in supporting family, friends and our community and making our jobs easier.  DCCS is there to support them so we’d like to give something back. .
