Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As some of you may know I have been a listening Samaritan
since 1990, I started at the Folkestone Branch and later moved to listen at Oxford.  The Samaritans’ Mission is  “We make sure there’s someone there for anyone who needs someone.”

These days callers can reach us by phone, email or letter. We simply listen, and if a caller needs someone to talk to, we listen. We won't judge or tell them what to do.

This year 2021, I have a “special” birthday and to celebrate
I have decided that I shall attempt to complete 60 miles running in my birthday month of July. I started back running last summer and its not been easy, I feel this will be both a challenge and a way to raise some much-needed funds for this charity I feel so passionate about.

If you would like to support my fundraising, I can assure you every £1.00 counts. It ensures we can keep the Oxford Branch running, we
have no paid staff, everyone is a volunteer, so your support will really make a difference to the callers we support.
