Story
I've only ran one 10k before, back home last year on what would have been mum's 60th birthday. My knees don't take to long distances, or I'd be running half-marathons by now! When I got involved in talks of this challenge however, I knew I had found my next 10k with a purpose.
There's just 6 of us, and our dogs, raising money for a small local charity. Their dedication and hard work of DAWGS is important to homeless, abandoned and unwanted dogs in the north-east of Scotland. It's the small charities such as this that are really making the difference for pups in need of a proper home.
Gille and I are getting into training, we started with 3k down the road and back at home. Now we are up to paced 6k this week, and a speedy 4k. We are aiming to complete this challenge in a good time and in good condition (pfft!), so if you want to join us for a run while we're training, you're more than welcome, just get in touch!
Any donations are hugely appreciated, as the higher the amount has been getting, the more determined I am to doing it! Thanks for your support! xx
