Story
Off of the back of the London marathon, hubby has persuaded me to run another one but this time we will be back on the campaign trail of raising some money for charity. Tony turns 40 this year and when I approached mine (a few good years ago!) I don’t think I took stock of how much that milestone meant to him with the girls. One week on from this marathon he will have lived longer than his mum who sadly passed away when he was 8. We will also be running for John my nephew who tragically passed away when he was just 8 years old which left the family devastated and is never far from my thoughts.
Child Bereavement UK weren’t around for him when he was 8 and were founded the year John died so any money raised will be helping children and families like ours which could have benefitted from their valuable support.
Child Bereavement UK help children and young people (up to age 25), parents, and families, to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. Child Bereavement UK also provide training to professionals, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.
