Story

The EverTrek Yeti's are Andy Moore, Jen Hall, Lauren Carter, Rosie Long, Dave Carpenter, Jody Morris, Vicky Jones, Fi Hawthorn & Zach Gidney.

Our latest fundraiser is the Yuletide Yeti Challenge!

Name something that Yeti’s love?  Mountains, yes!  A few cheeky beers, most definitely!  A dunk in freezing cold ice water…erm, what’s that again?

For those of you who know us well, you know that the Yeti’s like to take on a challenge and you also know that we love raising money for our chosen charities.  This year we’re continuing to support Brecon Mountain Rescue, who along with the other teams across the UK do an amazing job of keeping trekkers safe and sound out on the mountains.  Brecon Mountain Rescue Team is an emergency service funded by public donations and staffed entirely by volunteers.

This year we’ve decided to launch what will become our Annual Yeti Yuletide Challenge and as it’s our first year we’re going to make a big splash!

The Yetis will be embarking in a grueling ice water dunk in aid of Brecon Mountain Rescue.

How long they stay in is up to you, each target we reach, another 2 minutes will be added to the clock!

£400 - 2mins

£500 - 4mins

£600 - 6mins

£700 - 8mins

£800 - 10mins

£1000 - 15mins!!!

Our brave Yeti team of Andy, Dave, Rosie, Zach, Jody and Vicky will be taking the plunge, quite literally on Friday 9th December in an icy pool of water not far from the base of the Pen-y-Fan Mountain.  The pool itself is fed by the frosty stream coming straight off the mountain, brrrrrrrrrrrr!

We know that plunging into frigid water is stressful on the body and can have harmful effects, but don’t worry we are working with a brilliant local cold water swimming group, the Pen-y-fan Plungers to keep us safe from harm.

So if you want to see Andy and the Yeti’s get chilled to the bone for a good cause then show your support by making a donation.  Every penny really does count and we and the team from Brecon Mountain Rescue are so grateful for any donation you can give big or small!

Why we're supporting Brecon Mountain Rescue

We spend a lot of time in the mountains, not just at high altitude but also right here in the UK.  We run our training weekend in the fabulous Brecon Beacons and spend a lot of time out there!  This year we've chosen to support the fabulous Brecon Mountain Rescue who make sure that everyone out on treks has the support they need if they run into any difficulties.  From twisting an ankle to weather closing in you never know when you might need their assistance.  Good planning and preparation is key to keeping safe but it's so good to know that if the worst happened, these guys would have your back.

As well as making a company donation for every booking made with EverTrek https://www.evertrek.co.uk/ we're also doing a whole range of fundraising throughout 2022.

We'll update this page as new events and shenanigan's are planned.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to Brecon Mountain Rescue. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.  Plus don't forget to GIFT AID it!
