Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was a Games Maker responsible for using the correct flags during the Opening and victory ceremonies for both the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London, and working there inspired me to get back into cycling (it is the unofficial national sport for Great Britain now, is it not?). Since then I have cycled hundreds of miles, got several records on Strava, bought two more bikes and started commuting to work. I have also been victim of thieves, who cut through my lock on my brand new racer and took my wheels. If it weren't for my fellow Games Makers, I would have struggled to afford replacements.
This is one reason why I have decided to take on this challenge - to show those who helped me that their money is going to good use (and a big middle finger to the low-lifes who took my spinners!). Also, having been inspired by the Olympics it only seems fitting to help support future sports stars to realise their dreams! This is part of my contribution to the Games Maker legacy.
I have never done anything like this before so it will be very tough and will need hours of training, but it is motivation to keep going up those horrible hills on my trusty Carrera TDF. It will be awful with blood, sweat and tears in abundance at some parts I'm sure, but hopefully it'll be worth it when I'm done and Right to Play have a nice cheque.
Thanks guys :)
