Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you are aware, running for Multiple Sclerosis is something that is very personal to me and my family. Andy, my husband, was diagnosed with MS almost 3 years ago. At the time, it felt like the rug had been well and truly pulled from under us, but, looking back, it has changed our lives for the better. This is largely due to the fact that Andy used his diagnosis as an opportunity to make positive changes - to his diet, exercise routine and general mind-set. In fact, we have both adopted a more positive outlook on life and try not to sweat the small stuff…just the big stuff...like running 26.2 miles…We are both running the marathon this year to raise funds for the Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre (MSRC) - a proactive and innovative charity, passionately committed to supporting anyone affected by Multiple Sclerosis through access to unbiased information and advice. MS is an unpredictable disease, the symptoms of which can be physical or emotional and vary significantly – there is no typical pattern that applies to every sufferer. The MSRCs approach is to encourage individuals to make choices that are appropriate to their daily lives, empowering them to maximise their potential. Their motto is “life is for living…” which really resonates with Andy and me.
Please help us to raise funds for the MSRC. Without the support of people such as you, the MSRC would not be able to help all those affected by MS that it does. They need to raise even more money to reach many more MS sufferers.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
