Story
Hi Guys, I am back putting myself through another challenge to raise money for charity. This Sunday I will be running Belfast city Marathon with all proceeds going to Cancer Focus.
When I was a teenager my Dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer and several months later my mother was diagnosed with cancer as-well. Over the course of a few months our lives were turned upside down. The few months that followed were tough for us as a family, it brought us challenges, but it brought us closer together and made us who we are today. Thankfully my mum has been cancer free for a few years now…Unfortunately just after my 18th birthday my Dad lost his ongoing battle with cancer. A pain that I still struggle with today.
I never once heard either of my Parents complain ‘Just remember that no matter how bad things are, there is always someone worse off!’ That’s what they always told me.
A few years ago I took part in a White collar boxing event for charity, it was fantastic to have over 700 people together having a great time while raising money for a great cause. It makes me want to do my very small part to try and make the world a better place. Hopefully running myself ragged will help achieve this!!
I am so blessed to have friends and family who have supported me every step of the way through my journey.. I’m hoping to make you all proud on the day.
All donations welcome, no matter how big or small it all helps!!!
