Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Following the success for the Everest Base Camp expedition which raised over £30,000 for the village, we are continuing to support Thangpalkot1.

Each house costs just £1,800 to build so we are asking for you help to transform another family's lives for generations. Thanks to your generous support, we are over half way there!

Background:

Thangpalkot1, along with vast amounts of Nepal, was destroyed by the two earthquakes in 2015. Thousands were killed or displaced and much of Nepal is yet to be repaired and restored.

The Fine & Country Foundation is helping rebuild the village of Thangpalkot1. More than 50 houses in the village have been funded, but this still leaves around 30 families who need your help.

All money raised will go directly to the Nepal housing project. The £1,800 pays for the building materials and their transport to the village. It takes about a month for the villagers and volunteers to transform the supplies into their new house. Follow our journey here >> www.fineandcountryfoundation.com

The Fine & Country Foundation has been created to help combat one of the largest social issues in the UK – homelessness. Last year, the Government estimated around 2,414 people sleep on the street on any one night across England, a rise of 36% over three years. Often the reasons for homelessness are misunderstood, with many blaming the individuals for poor life decisions and carelessness. The reality is: people become homeless for a whole range of complex and overlapping reasons that cannot be avoided, such as family breakdowns, mental or physical health problems or debts. Solving homelessness does not only involve putting a roof over people’s heads, it is also trying to tackle the root of the problem and asking the question: why did they became homeless in the first place? The Fine & Country Foundation is dedicated to bringing together all Fine & Country agents in over 300 locations worldwide to raise awareness of the causes of homelessness whilst supporting homeless charities.
