Story
In the last 8 weeks I've Climbed Mount Kilimanjaro & stood at the highest point in Africa and walked over broken glass and hot coals which has already helped me raise £4500.00 for SPARKS, the children's medical research charity.
Now its time for the final challenge, I'm taking on Paris, well 26.2 miles of it, on the 10th April I'm going to be running my first Marathon...
The End is in sight, 6 months of training through the best the english winter could throw at me, snow, ice, freezing temperatures & then rain, rain, rain & a little bit more rain, finally the days are getting longer & Paris is just around the corner.
Training has been incredibly tough, not aided by altitude sickness on Kili and various injuries along the way, many tears have been shed & of course numerous miles run, doing 3 1/2hr training runs on your own takes the idea of positive mental attitude to a whole new level.
I've been overwhelmed by the love & support I've already received, but I'd really love to raise another £500 so I can hit my target of donating £5000 to this incredible charity. I've hit a bit of a wall in training this past week so If you can help me do this I'd really appreciate it & know this will help keep me motivated through these last few weeks of training & the marathon itself.
Thank you so much for supporting me & SPARKS....
