Run to Remember 250 miles in 125 days · 1 December 2013

We help children who've lost someone close to access opportunities for the future

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In September 2012 PC's Nicola Hughes and Fiona Bone of Greater Manchester Police were tragically killed whilst responding to a burglary call.

Members of West Yorkshire Police Major Collision Enquiry Team will be taking part in the 'Run to Remember' to raise money for the PC Nicola Hughes Memorial Fund. We will be starting on 1st December 2013 and finishing on 4th April 2014 when Bryn Hughes, Nicola's father, will start his North Pole Marathon.   Each team member will individually run 250 miles in 125 days.

Money will be raised for Victim Support, Care of Police Survivors (COPS) and the North West Police Benevolent Fund.

These charities have been selected by Bryn Hughes as he feels that they have all proved invaluable in helping his family deal with the aftermath of Nicola's death.
