Event: 2017 The Great Manchester Run, on 28 May 2017
We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

On 28th May, I'll be running in the Great Manchester Run, a 10K race. I've never done a 10K before, so will be training in earnest for the next few weeks!

I've chosen to fundraise for Alzheimer's Research UK, in memory of my late grandmother, Margaret Long, who lived most of her life in Manchester, and for the last decade of so of her life with an increasingly aggressive form of dementia. This disease has touched the lives of me, my family and many of my friends, and the day it is cured can't come soon enough.

If you can spare an amount, no matter how small, it would be very much appreciated, and spur me on to stick to my training plan and do myself justice on the day!

Many thanks in advance,

Felicity
