We provide specialist nurses to support families affected by dementia

Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running this race because Dementia had affected my Grandad, and I know it is very common, therefore raising money for this charity is very important to me! It affected my other family members too who became carers for him. The money I raise will go to help the person with Dementia and their carer! It is very hard to look after someone with Dementia and so I want to do everything I can to help all of the people who have experienced Dementia in their lives.

Here is more information about Dementia UK. With your generous donations they will:

  • Promote and develop Admiral Nursing - a specialist nursing intervention focused on meeting the needs of carers and families of people with dementia
  • Provide high quality training for professionals working with older people, carers and people with dementia
  • Promote good practice in dementia care
  • Work in partnership with the NHS, social services, other voluntary groups, carers and people with dementia
  • Contribute to national policy on dementia, older people and carers' issues
  • Influence practice and policy development

There will be a photo of me running put on here soon!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much for your donations! xxxxx
