I have chosen to run the London marathon to raise money for the Meningitis Research Foundation as meningitis is a disease which has affected my whole family. When my brother was a baby he contracted bacterial meningitis, which has resulted in him having some learning difficulties.

The Meningitis Research Foundation provide funding for research to help combat the death, disability and suffering caused by meningitis and septicaemia as well as offering help and support to families like mine who have been affected by this disease.
