My name is Fatema Zahra Chandoo and I am 6 years old. I would really like to help those families and little children around the world just like me who are hungry and do not have enough food to eat.

This Ramadhan, I  fasted every day for the whole month as fasting reminded me of how all those people around the world who are starving are feeling.  I also memorised some Surahs and special Ayaat from the Holy Qur'an and lead the recitation of Dua-e-Jawshan Kabeer and Dua-e-Iftitah at my local Islamic Centre to help raise money for them.

I have a younger brother called Muhammad Ali and he is 4 years old.  This year, I also encouraged him to fast for 3 whole days and I helped him to memorise one whole Surah of the Holy Qur'an to try and raise money for this good cause.

This Ramadhan, we managed to reach our target of £1000 in just 10 days so we increased our target to £1500 as the famine that has taken place in East Africa is the worst seen in 60 years and they desperately need our help.

We are lucky to be able to celebrate Eid with our family and friends but the families and children affected by the famine are still suffering.
