We will be cycling from Beijing to Istanbul for the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust (CWMT).
CWMT is a charity doing incredible work that provides free mental health training to schools, universities, workplaces, GPs and nurses by encouraging those who may be depressed to seek help. The work they do goes a long way towards helping raise awareness of depression and mental health issues, particularly amongst young people. By fighting stigma, the charity helps people to take care of their emotional wellbeing.
Although this is a hugely exciting challenge for us both, there will be some long rides along the way. But, knowing that we are cycling for an amazing cause will keep us going through the difficult times.
We will be crossing Asia from east to west via the northern Silk Route passing through the vast Gobi Desert, the forbidding Pamir mountains, and the fabled cities of Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand. Our route encompasses almost every climate and terrain with mountains, steppes and oases of inhabitable deserts.
No donation is too small, so please dig deep and help us to support this incredibly important charity.
