Fairlands Valley Spartans 2018 charity of the year is the UK Kawasaki Disease Foundation.
The foundation is very important to the club as it has affected the lives of 1 family at the club. As we are 1 club this brave little boy and his amazing parents belong to our family.
Kawasaki Disease is an inflammatory process that can affect almost every system in the body. If not treated it works its way through the body until it reaches the coronary artery causing life long irreparable damage.
With Kawasaki disease there are no blood tests and a clinical diagnosis made based on the symptoms presented with which were high fever, rash, lethargic, arthritis, swollen glands and extreme irritability plus many more symptoms that can be missed. We want to raise as much money as we can to help raise awareness of Kawasaki Disease
