On Friday 11th October, Victoria Hersey and I are organising an all day exercise event at our church, All Saints in Lindfield.
From 9am till 7pm, we will be running a whole day of different exercise classes to raise awareness and money for Family Support Work.
And because so many of our friends don’t live locally but would still like to support us - and because we appreciate that an exercise class really isn’t everyone’s cup of tea - and because organising the whole day didn’t feel like we were doing enough (!!!), Victoria and I have agreed to do every class back-to-back if we can get people to sponsor us. So 10 hours of continuous exercise… all for a brilliant cause.
For those of you that don’t know, FSW is a Sussex based Christian charity helping families to overcome their difficulties and prevent crisis. They support families struggling with anything from bereavement, ill health, learning difficulties, poverty, family break-up or domestic abuse. Their aim is to support parents as they try to ensure that their children have the best start in life.
So we have asked some of Sussex's best personal trainers/exercise specialists to work with us to create 10 different sessions, spread across the day, to offer literally something for everyone - cardio, stretch, dance, circuits, pilates, chair aerobics, HIIT… something for older people, something for kids, something for teens, something for people that hate exercise and something for super-fit adrenaline junkies. It is the perfect opportunity to try something that you haven’t before.
On top of the exercise classes, we are running a pop-up cafe… so if you really can’t bring yourself to put on your trainers, you can still support us by popping in for a cuppa… and bring a friend xx
THANK YOU - stuff like this only works because you guys support us, so a proper, genuine thank you. V & V xx
