- Lee Mansell - as the only male on the FD Charity Board, I think I was stitched up! I work with many students experiencing poor mental health and see the effects it has on family and friends. There are currently around 85,000 people in the UK living with dementia so thousands of families are affected. Raising awareness, funds and research into dementia care are key to helping all those people
- Dominic Kitchen - I am having my legs waxed because I've never done it before and I want to see if I can hack it!
- Tom Redfearn - hair to help!
- Dan Ladbury - Alzheimer's and mental illness will affect most people at some point in their lives either personally or through people they know and having the right support at the right time can make a crucial difference. I know from personal experience of family members just how upsetting and difficult this can be - whilst the short term pain of having my legs waxed no way compares to the pain and anguish of mental illness, I hope that by undertaking this small gesture, I can raise much needed funds to support this hugely valuable cause.
- Mark Rooker - I signed up for this not just because it was such an amazing cause but because it needed doing. In any case, I thought a smoother leg would help me beat my PB for swimming
- Frazer Johnson - I don't have a close personal attachment to anyone suffering from this terrible disease although I do have friends that have been affected like most people. I'm always mindful that I don't do enough for charity or give enough so this opportunity seems like an easy way to change that. I've never had anything waxed before and it cant hurt that much, can it...........
- John Wagstaff - I wanted to grow a Mohawk. Someone told me they grow faster with your legs shaved so I thought I'm in!
- Alan Martin - I believe it to be one of the best causes to support. Also my mother has had dementia now for some time.
- Joel Kesterton - my paternal grandmother suffered from Alzheimer's so I know how devastating it can be to those families affected.
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice
