Story
After doing my 10k in the summer I wanted to step up the challenge, so I decided that the Edinburgh marathon was a perfect platform to do so. So at the end of May, instead of attending my graduation ball, I'll be heading to Edinburgh to run 26.2 miles.
A close friend of mine recently lost her step-dad to cancer and it was painful to see something so tragic happen to such a lovely family. They didn't deserve that to happen, the truth is that no-one deserves that to happen.
And as we all know I'm a huge Sunderland fan and anyone who knew me when was 13-15 knows that I absolutely adored Marton Fulop and his recent tragic passing has only made me more determined.
Macmillan is an excellent charity and their nurses provide their patients with the best care and attention they can give, helping them through their treatment and beyond. They also offer support to families affected and helped my friend's mam out a lot.
'We are millions of people affected by cancer, supporters, professionals, volunteers, and campaigners. Together we are all Macmillan.'
