Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity, supporting young lives from birth to 18. Our mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across Lancashire who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs.

Story

Thank you for visiting my page. I will be running the London Marathon in April and am raising money for 'Cash For Kids' a local charity which helps individual children and groups of children in Lancashire. I have wanteds to run a marathon for a while now and decided that 2013 will be the year to do it. As this is my first marathon I thought it would make sense to try and get sponsorship to raise money for charity. I chose 'Cash For Kids' because of the great work they do providing a helping hand to disabled and disadvantaged children across Lancashire. All the money goes to children with mental, physical or sensory disabilities, living in poverty or situations of deprivation or suffering through abuse or neglect.

This is a huge challenge for me, my longest race to date is a half marathon and so this will be double that distance. As well as the actual running the equally difficult challenge will be to find the time to go out running, no easy task whilst working full time and raising 3 children, early mornings here I come!

I'm looking forward to it and with your help I will raise lots of money for children in Lancashire and make a difference to some little lives. Thanks for your support.
