Jacob, 11 months was rushed to Sheffield Children's Hospital on Christmas Day, he had Pneumoccal Meningitis, every parents nightmare.

He spent a total of 4 weeks in Sheffield on Intensive care, HDU & Ward 2 Neuroscience. 

He has been through so much. The Doctor's & Nurses were fantastic not only for Jacob but for his parents too at such a difficult time. Jacob suffered seizures, left sided weakness, infected fluid on his brain, stomach ulcer due to all the antibiotics. When Jacob started to improve his parents were given the devastating news that He was profoundly deaf caused by this horrible disease. 

Jacob is now doing really well &  making great progress. He had cochlear implants fitted & is beginning to hear again.
