Story
Four years ago I lost my wonderful cousin, Dale Jacobs to cancer. I have also known other close friends and loved ones who have been affected by cancer. I have participated in fundraising in the past to raise money to help beat cancer, but nothing on this scale….This year I will be running the London Marathon on behalf of the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Unit at UCLH.
For those that know me well, know that even though I exercise I am not a natural runner. Therefore, with only 12 weeks to prepare at an intense level before the big day I have had to substantially increase my training. I am running daily, longer, up hills, out in the cold…as I have a determination to succeed as I believe in the cause. I am doing the hard work, all I ask for you is to support me. This is over 26 miles – plus the training prior – I need to raise £1500. Please help me get there! If I raise £250 before 28 February I win the chance to have an extra £250 donated through JustGiving – so please don’t delay and sponsor today!
Cancer can manifest in many forms. By supporting me in supporting the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Unit ultimately you will be helping in making a difference for patients and their families now and in the future.
So please dig deep and donate now. If you can, Gift Aid it - this comes at no extra cost to you but it means I raise more money. This website is totally secure.
Thanks for reading and I appreciate the support.
Much love
Eva
