Over the next couple of months, I’m aiming to raise £800 for the Balloon Ventures Foundation.

Balloon Ventures, part of the International Citizen Service (ICS), is one of the first ever international programmes to bring together entrepreneurs, youth volunteers and interactive microfinance to positively change lives. 

In August 2016, I’ll be heading out to East Africa for 3 months as an ICS volunteer with Balloon Ventures, working closely with other volunteers (both from the UK and East Africa) and local business owners to generate sustainable development and growth for their enterprises. 

The £800 I need to raise does not go towards my place on the programme. It goes towards ensuring that young people, both from the UK and from developing countries, can continue to work alongside each other to make a sustainable and ethical impact, whilst empowering the in-country business owners.

Any contribution from you will make a real difference to the lives of people in developing countries, so please dig deep!
