Story
October 2015 saw the start of my running career. My middle name is certainly not Mo Farah but I'm slowly getting faster and increasing my distance. For some 500 miles in one year would be an easy achievement and if you think about it it's just under 10 miles a week but as a new runner it's a scary prospect!
I am doing this mainly for myself but I would also like to raise some money along the way and I have chosen to support the work of Alzheimer Scotland who are the leading dementia organisation in Scotland providing an extensive range of innovative and personalised support services. As some of you may know my Mum was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's 5 years ago. I have seen first hand how cruel and life changing this illness is, it gradually destroys brain cells and their connections which affects how the person copes with everyday tasks.
I look forward to sharing my progress with you if you would like to join me in this challenge please do let me know and you too can share your progress.
