Alzheimer Scotland is the leading, national dementia charity in Scotland. Our mission is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide advice, information and support and we are here for people living with dementia, their families and carers across Scotland.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you may know my Gran was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s at just age 62 years. It’s such a horrible illness and such a shame to see my fun, loving and active Gran now struggling with day to day tasks. Things had got so bad that sadly Granda couldn’t look after her himself anymore and she had to go into a Nursing home last summer. Unfortunately Gran has continued to deteriorate and although this fund raising isn’t going to help find a cure for her, it will hopefully help others in the future.

Gran was a very keen runner too when she was younger so I thought this would be a good way to  help raise some money to support this charity which is so close to our hearts.

Mum will update the page monthly with my progress during the year. I have several running events already scheduled in for the year, and the rest will be made up with my training throughout the year. Give me a wave, cheer or a toot if you see me out running.
