Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am a Dental Surgeon living on the Isle of Bute off the west coast of Scotland and am running the London Marathon on 22 April and the Edinburgh Marathon on 27th May 2012 to raise money for Prostate Action. As a principal health worker on Bute which has a large elderly population, I am trying to raise awareness of conditions affecting the prostate and their treatment both on Bute and in the wider community in Scotland through my contacts within the NHS. As well as my involvement with some of my patients who are affected by prostate disease, I have a personal link in that my father died some years ago from prostate cancer. I am raising money to help contribute to research into more effective treatment of prostate disease.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

My target is £3000 but I want to raise as much money as possible for Prostate Action.

Thank you.
