Story
Hi and thanks for taking the time to visit my just giving fundraising page.
This is my first time trying to do any fund raising and I'd really appreciate your support.
A couple of weeks ago I was doing some shopping at our local M&S in Inverurie, once at the check out there was a collection jar for what I presumed was a local sportsteam charity, I popped a pound in the jar and went on my way. After putting my donation in I was handed a leaflet which I put in my pocket and didn't look at until later that night. After recently becoming a Father myself i was really moved when I read about little Kayleigh Cordiner's story. She tragically passed away aged 20 months after being diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour (ATRT). Her parents Jonathan and Anna Cordiner have set up Kayleigh's Wee Stars charity in her memory and to help other families who find themselves in similar difficult times.
I'm running the Garioch 10km on the 24th March and then the Angus Half Marathon on 21st April in order to try and raise funds for this great cause.
All of you that know me will probably now be laughing at the thought of me running any sort of distance! I'm definetly more comfortable sauntering round a golf course and couldn't be described as light on my feet. That being said you will hopefully give genourously and the blisters and shin splints will all be worth it.
