Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
So I'm 18yrs old and will actually turn 19 while on this charity placement in April, my interest in charity work and in this placement has stemmed from a month of work I carried out in the Summer of 2016 in Ecuador. From the minute of getting back I've just wanted to get off again. So please take the time to read what ICS do and what International service is all about below and help make a difference.
I’m really excited to tell you that I have been selected to volunteer overseas with International Service on an International Citizen Service placement. ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire young people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term community development. Whilst International Service empowers women, children and young people, and people with disabilities to access their rights in developing countries across the world. Working in areas such as female empowerment, disability rights and child poverty.
The first part of my placement is a challenge to raise £800 towards the work of International Service and their ICS partners. The money raised will go towards enabling the overall costs of ICS, ensuring they can to continue sending youth volunteers to the developing world to make a lasting difference in disadvantaged communities.
You can keep track of how I get on here on my Justgiving page. Any contribution from you will make a real difference to the lives of people in developing countries.
Thanks for your support!
