I won entry to the 2020 London Marathon through the ballot and decided since I was doing it anyway I might as well try and make a few quid for charity along the (very long) way! Unfortunately COVID threw a spanner in the works, and after lots of cancellations, injuries and deferrals, I’m FINALLY running the marathon in October 2022! 🥳

The Royal Air Force Benevolent fund are a smaller charity who do not get any advertising or places allocated for the Marathon through Virgin Money, so a great choice to raise money for. The Benevolent Fund provide a range of support aimed at serving and former RAF personnel. Both my brother and sister-in-law are currently serving in the RAF so it is a charity well worth supporting.

Every £1 raised will help me get through each 26.2 miles of the course. With energy prices, food bills and fuel making everyone money have to stretch a lot further at the minute, I appreciate it’s not a great time to be rattling the fundraising tins, so please only donate if you feel you can, there’s no obligation to.
