Most families have been affected by cancer in one way or another; for some it has changed their lives in devastating ways. We'd like to raise as much money as we can towards the treatment and support of women with this disease.

A few years go, Alison was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. It was a terrible shock, but after removal of a few unnecessary body parts, she is doing well. Our brother and father have both been successfully treated for skin cancer but Mum died a couple of years ago from lymphoma.

Alison proposed this challenge to try to persuade Esther into getting fit (a bit drastic, really) and raise money at the same time. Given how much Esther loathes exercise, she figured people would be generous (we're counting on that....). Esther agreed only on the basis that Ali would have to lose weight. In both cases, this is a significant challenge. 

So, given the event is definitely not going to be a holiday, or even pleasant, we'd like you to sponsor us as much as you can towards our target. We will be paying for all our expenses ourselves, so everything you give will go to the three cancer charities that we're supporting: Breast Cancer Care, Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action.
