Story

I have never been the most “sporty” one in my family
but when it comes to take a challenge for a good cause, you can see my name in the first place :)

I am taking the challenge of my life, walking 52 mile ultra marathon route, to be able to provide a better life to children by fundraising money for their education.

And the good cause this time is be to make a difference by supporting children across the world that are in need of quality education. Millions of children around the world have been forced to flee their homes due to conflict. Whilst displaced, many living as refugees in other countries, access to education can be limited to non-existent. Sadly, opportunities for girls to access an education are often far fewer than opportunities available for boys, in large part due to cultural reasons.62 million girls in the world are out of school.

I will walk from Arundel to Winchester along the South Downs on 25-26th June which will challenge my resilience, patience and determination.

Please support me doing this challenge and donate anything you can through my fundraising page to achieve it.

I aim to raise £1000 and every pound you raise will be matched by the Vodafone Foundation £1 for £1.

The money I raise will go towards 3 organizations who
are  committed to ensuring children living in displacement get equal opportunities for an education, and the prospects that provides.

1. Télécoms Sans Frontières (TSF) :  TSF will provide education to approximately 3000 Syrian, mainly female, children affected by the war and besieged in northern Syria.

2. UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR): UNHCR aim to increase the girls’ self-reliance and future opportunities by improving the quality of core subject teaching and work in partnership with UK Open University; providing online courses for Social Science and Education. They will also provide scholarships for 166 students to attend either formal vocational education or academic secondary school. UNHCR aims to target refugees that are unable to integrate into formal school through informal learning.

3. Malala Fund : Fund will invest their money in the Middle
East in programmes that will help to ensure every girl has access to 12 years of free, safe, quality primary and secondary education.

I thank you all in advance of your support and generosity. I really appreciate your support and assure that any money you are able to donate will make a huge difference to someone’s life.
