Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I hit the big 40 in March 2018 and will be running the London Marathon to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity just six weeks later.
This will be my 10th marathon in total, but my first London Marathon to make it extra special during my milestone year.
Next year will also mark 10 years since I worked for Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service on the World Firefighters Games 2008 (WFG08) in Liverpool. This was a very special project to work on which helped me massively in future job roles - and now I'd like to give something back to the Fire Service.
Being part of the Fire Service opened my eyes into all aspects of the brigade, the effort and dedication shone through. It really is a truly special profession, and I have the utmost respect for everyone working within the Fire Service.
Hopefully we'll never need their help to be rescued - but let's celebrate all they do, 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
Running the London Marathon 2018 for The Fire Fighters
Charity is an absolute honour.
