Everyone has a hero, mine was my Dad. People everywhere are suffering the loss of a loved one, more often than not as a result of Cancer. Not much is known about Plasma Cell Leukaemia and treatment so far prolongs life, but there is no cure. The doctors who are researching are making progress all the time, but need the funding to continue. I would love to see a cure in my lifetime to know everything Dad went through with the tests and stem cell transplant has helped someone else to keep their hero for longer.

My husband and I will be taking part in different challenges throughout the year in the hope that we can raise £1000 to give to Bloodwise.

There is lots of fantastic fundraising going on for various causes and I know you can't give to them all. But if at some point this year you see us doing the challenges on social media - please give up that one cup of coffee, the magazine or lottery ticket and pledge £5 to help us reach our goal, it will mean the world.
