Story
I am cycling for the charity Thomas’s Fund, which provides music therapy for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses or a disability which, for medical reason, means they are too ill to attend school for extended periods.
It is named after my friend Lucy’s son Thomas.
Lucy was the mum of Thomas and Harry, and the charity was set up by her and her husband Tim, in Thomas and Harry's memory to help other children.
Lucy cycled Ride London in 2014, and we spent many hours chatting on Facebook, and worrying (along with our friend Nicola) that we'd probably fall off about a mile from the start. We didn't. We did really well.
I have followed Lucy and Tim's incredible work for Thomas's Fund since then - and am incredibly proud to be able to cycle for their charity.
