Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for Myeloma UK in memory of my Dad - Eric Mawdsley.

Myeloma UK is the only charity in the UK dealing exclusively with Myeloma. Myeloma is an aggressive type of cancer found in bone marrow.  It produces large numbers of malignant antibodies which can't fight infection - so while the cancer weakens the sufferers' bones it also leaves them open to infection which they then can't fight.

Studies have shown that only about a third of people with Myeloma live for 5 years.

Myeloma UK helped Dad and the rest of our family by providing support as well as information about his cancer. The charity works with researchers and doctors to help improve diagnosis and treatments for this cancer and help develop a possible cure.

Please donate to Myeloma UK in memory of my Dad and help them continue their vital work.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Myeloma UK and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please donate as much as you can and hopefully I'll reach my target for Myeloma and help them to help others like my Dad.

Thank you
