Story

Just when you thought it was all over……the quality and risk team have decided to leave a permanent reminder of the great work that Enham Trust has achieved over the last 100 years, while still looking excitedly to the future of the Trust for the next 100 years.

February 16th, 2022, we will be the end of the centenary and we will be planting a ‘memory tree’ in the grounds and using that date as an opportunity to reminisce on some of the amazing things that have happened at Enham over that time.

If you would like to sponsor the tree, your name will be placed on a permanent plaque that will be unveiled in the summer at a grand ceremony. We are looking to raise £1,250, with proceeds raised being used to support our wide range of services across the Trust.

We welcome all donations but if you would like your name, or business name, on the plaque there is a minimum donation of £20 for individuals and £100 for corporate sponsors.

Our wide range of services include an Activities Centre and Sports Hall specifically for local disabled people, a new and exciting Gardening Programme that teaches disabled people to grow their own fruit and vegetables, and a Training Kitchen where we teach important life
skills including cooking with the fruit and vegetables grown in our Gardening Programme.

In light of the covid-19 pandemic we have also established our Health & Wellbeing Programme which has provided crucial support to disabled people throughout the pandemic, which we will continue to offer despite the easing of restrictions. The hugely popular programme supports individuals to maintain positive physical and mental wellbeing through access to vital services including physiotherapy and counselling sessions.

Enham Trust

Celebrating their 100th birthday in 2021, Enham Trust is a leading disability charity based in Hampshire. Over the last century they have supported over 250,000 individuals with a range of physical, learning and mental health disabilities. Today, they continue to support over 6,000 disabled people to live, work and enjoy life through providing accessible homes, personalised care, employment support and activities that improve physical and mental wellbeing.

Disabled people continue to face many inequalities in our society today but Enham Trust exists to fight this and provide disabled people with the opportunities in life that many of us take for granted, ensuring everyone regardless of any disability is able to achieve their goals, wishes and dreams.
