Story
Enfys Hapus Nursery are taking part in a fundraising week to
honour a baby girl called Azaylia Cain. Azaylia, at the age of just 8 weeks old, was diagnosed with ‘acute myeloid leukaemia’. Azaylia is now at home at the age of 8 months, spending her final days with her parents and family.
The children will be taking part in the following activities:
Monday – Walk like Lions
Tuesday – Wear Orange Day
Wednesday – Plant an Orange Tree
Thursday – Jungle Book Dress Up
Friday – Dance to The Bare Necessities
We have chosen the colour orange to honour the leukaemia
logo colour. The Bare Necessities is a song from the Disney film called ‘The Jungle Book’, which is also a song that Azaylia listens to every day and dances to with her parents. Throughout Azaylia’s battle with her leukaemia, she has been referred to as a lion for being strong and courageous.
