Story

Hi everyone,

I would like to share with you my two main reasons for celebrating the Big 60.

Firstly over the past 2 years we have been denied simple pleasures such as meeting up for a coffee, having dinner with a friend, visiting, concerts, events…the list is endless and all simple activities that we took for granted as part of our ordinary everyday activities. So when the opportunity arose to throw a birthday bash, I thought why not give everyone the opportunity to meet up, have a night of fun, dancing, food and crack.

However more importantly as a cancer survivor, I am grateful to have survived to my 60th birthday. A lot of my friends did not get that privilege and if they were here today, they would want us all to celebrate life and living.

So I’m throwing a party in an Grianan Hotel in Burt on Fri 13th at 8pm and it starts off with a memory balloon release to honour those no longer with us. I do not need cards or presents at this late stage in my life but if you would like to support my birthday, please feel free to make a donation to my team “Out Of The Rally” in Relay For Life Donegal raising much needed funds for those impacted by a cancer diagnosis. Your generosity will be much appreciated and if you're free on the night, please pop in and join in the celebrations.

Many thanks. Ena
