Story
Hello!
I am celebrating my 40th birthday on 28th December this year. I feel very lucky to have wonderful family and friends, and I don't really need any presents! So I thought instead of receiving lots of gifts, it would be a great chance for me to give something back and raise money for PACT (Parents Association for Children with Tumours and Leukaemia).
Many of you are aware that my brother Andrew died of leukaemia when he was 10 years old. The charity, which is based at Sheffield Children's Hospital, works so hard to help and support children and their families who are affected by cancer.
It has two caravans by the seaside for families to use as a welcome break and for some much-needed family time. It also runs a 'home-from-home' house next to the hospital that family members can stay in to be near their children. And some of the money raised goes towards research, equipment and funding a research assistant to support the highly-specialised doctors and nurses caring for the children.
I hope you will help me raise some money for this small, but very worthwhile, charity - it really does make a difference to people's lives.
Thank you for reading this!
Love
Emmeline
